There are so many truly wonderful and inspiring pieces of writing in the world, and this is definitely one of them.

St. Therese of Lisieux, The Story of a Soul

So much has been spoken about this amazing young woman and so much is still being written about her. But above all of the things that others say of her, it is the delightful way in which she herself writes with such humility and grace that kept me spellbound throughout this book. Her literary style, the way in which she brings her faith and devotion to life on the page, make this a unique and highly insightful book.

Before reading this book I knew nothing of St. Therese of Lisieux or the time and society that she grew up in. Now I feel as though I know her personally and have listened to her speak. So much is reported about many saints, but it rare to be able to listen directly to the words of one, and this book was a real pleasure for me to read and now publish.

There are many people in my lifetime that I have admired, people like Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II to name but three, and yet this woman who lived a simple convent life and died aged just 24 springs forth from history and brings with her a message of love and devotion that is so appealing to me.

Even so there was without doubt a strength to her that went beyond the norms of a quiet Carmelite Sister. That strength comes through in this book for me.

St. Therese of Lisieux has left us with an insight into her life that is deeply inspiring. Her enlightened view of the direction she desired for her own life and her own soul from such a young age left me with little doubt about the amazingly spiritual intuition that she was gifted from birth.

When you read this book, I have no doubt that you will be inspired by her selfless generosity and love of God. Although she died at the tender age of just 24, she led a very full and precious life that has touched and continues to touch the lives of millions of other.
