Review by Joanna Daneman for Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything
This is a book of stories, rather like “Chicken Soup for the Soul” where people share their personal experiences who their lives or the lives of people around them changed in literally the blink of an eye. Authors include Wayne Dyer, Dean Ornish, Marilyn Diamond, and Deepak Chopra.

But my favorite story was from a hairdresser that had a client come in between her usual times for a styling. When the hair stylist asked about any special occasion, the client said “Oh, I just want to look and feel good tonight.” After a scalp massage, a haircut and a lot of laughing and sharing, the client left. And then had her sister check her into a mental health facility, because the reason she was getting her hair done was because she was going to commit suicide that night, and she wanted to look good at her funeral. How sobering! By being fun, entertaining, caring and “there” for his client, the stylist actually saved her life.

The other story I loved is one of a doctor who volunteered for a spate in Nigeria. While there, he did a risky procedure to remove fluid around the heart of a young farmer. After some touch-and-go moments, the procedure was a success. When the doctor came back later to see his patient, the farmer said the most extraordinary thing: “I get the sense you are wondering why you came here.” –How did he know, thought the doctor. “I have an answer for you” went on the farmer, “You came here for one reason. You came here for me.” The doctor realized he was there, anywhere, to help ONE PERSON AT A TIME. After he had gotten over a very grandiose viewpoint of his own importance, the farmer set down the significance of what he was doing. Helping one other person, one at a time. Very profound.

This is a terrific book about life’s purpose and our place in it. A very inspiring book to read and I recommend it highly.

Review by Judy from Austin for Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything
I couldn’t put this book down when I started reading it. SIXTY SECONDS: ONE MOMENT CHANGES EVERYTHING tells us very inspirational moments of many well known individuals. – forty five to be exact. It includes personal stories from people of different walks of life, such as physicians, authors of well known books, film producers, sports legends, educators, philosophers, etc. There are intimate stories from Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Gregg Braden, Dr. Christine Northrup, Neale Donald Walsch, Caroline Myss , Dr. Larry Dossy, Dr. Dean Ornish , and Dr. Bernie Siegel – just to name a few.

Reading about so many people who have had huge life-changing events makes me feel like I can handle anything that comes my way. Things really do happen for a reason! I’ve never understood why some people don’t believe in an afterlife – or why they don’t see the miracles that happen each and every day. The stories in this book have actually happened!

I can’t imagine the time and effort expended in gathering all of the stories, putting it in a book format, getting it published and getting the word out to the public. I thank Phil Bolsta, Caroline Myss, and all the many people involved in this wonderful book.

Review by J. Arena for Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything
This is a collection of 45 stories of momentous changes in people’s lives brought about by experiences that seemed to take place in the twinkling of an eye. We can identify with all of them as they struggle through the difficulties that we all face, even though many of them have become household names. What sets their stories apart are these tremendous experiences that, in one dazzling moment, changed their life path, gave them an awareness of the meaning of life and death, or opened them up to opportunities never before thought possible by breaking through long-held emotional wounds.

When we experience these special moments, all the pieces fall into place, releasing us to achieve what has been inside us all along. When that moment enables you to help others, you are doubly blessed.

What happens when you witness a birth or a death colors your vision of both past and future? A passing conversation with a stranger answers every question you’ve had on your mind, explaining that your survival of a violent attack came about because you were surrounded by God. Not one blow touched you, despite what was reported by a crowd of witnesses as you worked to protect another.

Perhaps you might be moved by the story of a gifted musician, singer and song writer who had some success early on in his career, but was hoping for a really good break. He had the talent, and a particular song that had taken him nine years to complete. A psychic neighbor (who he barely knew) told him in no uncertain terms that his song was going to be in top demand on television and change his career forever. This casual conversation with Billy Vera’s neighbor marked the singer-songwriter’s entrance to the higher level of entertainers who find more and more doors opened to him.

Can One Moment Change Everything? Through my own lifelong experience I know that to be true. Sixty Seconds: One Moment Changes Everything is beyond feel-good positive thinking. It can be life changing, and should not be missed.

    Thank you, Phil Bolsta!
